Transcending the Bottom Line

The following questions prompted me to write my book: Transcending the Bottom Line: Creating a Spiritual Work Ethic.

  • Do you ever make choices during the day that are in conflict with your deepest values?
  • At the end of some days, do you ever wish you’d spent your time differently?
  • Do you know someone else who struggles with this?
  • In the past, there were many days when my answer to both questions was “yes!” Yet, no matter what decisions I made each morning, or what intentions I set for myself, there were often nights when I found myself feeling regret for how I’d spent my day. And there were times when I gave WAY too much of myself, neglecting my health and my relationships in the process

Does this ever happen to you? Or, do you know someone who is very spiritual and longs for a way to invite Divine Guidance to shape their daily activities?

What helped me create change was to examine my bottom line. I discovered I was being “driven” by the core belief “Do your work first, and then if there is time left over, you can do other things.” There was only one problem. My work was never done.

Once I came to that realization, I began to explore what I wanted instead and how I might achieve that. I realized I had a deep desire for peace. I wanted to find a way to feel peaceful and be productive at the same time.

By drawing upon creativity and mindfulness, I developed a process that reminds me, each day, throughout the day, to surrender ambition and invite Divine Guidance to shape my next steps. I have created a new spiritual work ethic for myself.

I think there are millions of spiritual people across the globe who long for a way to invite Divine Guidance to shape their daily activities. Imagine what the world can look like when this becomes our reality! I have a vision of both individuals and organizations changing the status quo of their work ethic.

I have been sharing my process, one person and one group at a time. But I think it’s time to reach more people. So, I’m creating a book called Transcending the Bottom Line—Creating a Spiritual Work Ethic. I have entered a contest called “The next top spiritual author.” The winner will be chosen mainly through the vote of people like you.

If you would like to help make my vision of Divine Balance a reality, please vote for my book by clicking HERE.

And, could you please invite 4 of your friends who might share this vision to vote?

Anyone who votes for my book will be eligible to win ONE YEAR of 1:1 coaching with me.

People who vote and are interested in this option can just send me an e-mail to let me know they have voted. I will also be offering webinars, on-line learning opportunities, and coaching programs to explore this topic.

I also want to make you aware that people who vote may receive an e-mail from the organization that is sponsoring the contest. However, you CAN immediately opt out if you don’t wish to continue receiving information from them.
